Cargo containers inspected at 'staggeringly low' rate

Never mind the problem with illegal immigration.there is a better chance of a threat coming in on a container ship

There needs to be a better way of inspecting these containers.....

This is a well known fact, and hs never been addressed properly. And the reasons given are unacceptable, imo.

Hong Kong manages to inspect every container that passes through two gates there, but we haven't followed suit. The good news is that Michael Chertoff was in China this week to examine their system. Maybe we'll adopt the same technology, and things will improve.
