Strange 'creature'.

The original photograph of this 'creature' was taken in the 60s. This is a scanned image and thus not too clear.
It was seen flying around in the person's (in pic) backyard at night and died when a light was shone on it.



Could it be an alien creature? Stories of strange creatures have been doing the rounds of late. Or could it be a piece of meat carved into an 'alien' for perpetrating some kind of a hoax?

Im not entirely sure, but i think i saw this posted in the crypto forum before.
It was said to be some sort of fish after a taxidermist had some fun.
It does seem to look like dried shark's skin. Or at least something similar.
I remember seeing things with that sort fo texture when i went to fishmarkets in Mexico City as a child with my parents.

Or maby not even after a taxidermist had some fun after all.
The link above has a link to a video of a living monkfish laying on its back out of water, and it certainly seems to resemble the picture posted.
