I guess everyone's had ample opportunity to make their submissions for the super-cool jet comp. The idea is basically a "sports jet" for private owners to tear around the sky in pretending to be fighter jocks.

The entrants were made on this thread: www.abovetopsecret.com...

PLEASE make two votes, one for which you think would look the coolest, and one for the concept you think is most viable. Post your vote in this thread. Voting will close in ten days.

The submissions, in order they were submitted:

All great designs, but my vote for the coolest goes to the Spyder because despite its subsonic restriction, it looks fast and has obvious similarities to the SR-71 in design.
My vote for most viable design goes to Northwolf's Shark. Conventional and with similarities in the tail and engine layout to the legendary F-4.

For the coolness factor I vote for Irma's "Bug".
For viability I vote for Planeman's "Spyder.

I'm allowed to vote for other people right?

The spyder definetly has the biggest market appeal, an easy to fly, "conventional", yet fast as hell jet.

Well I would just like to say that all the designs we really interesting and cool.

Having said that the coolest deign is definitely “The Bug” , It was tough choice between it and the “Spyder” but that top view of “The Bug” and it all glass bubble canopy sealed the deal for me. Now my vote for the most practical design goes to the “Shark”, its a simple yet effective layout.

That's a tough choice due to some great designs! Either of "The Bug" or "Spyder" are at the top of my coolness rating, but since only one can be chosen, I guess I'll say The Bug. Really like the jets under the tailfins and dome cockpit for maximum viewing!

As far as viability goes, who am I to say? No jet expert, that's for sure. I will say that the Spyder and Shark look more like the jets of today, but who's to say The Bug wouldn't fly well too. I guess the Spyder would probably be the best bet though.

So, The Bug for coolness. Spyder for viability.

This has been extremely hard to decide, but I'm going to have to vote for The Bug. For one thing I love the visibility it would offer. Plus it appears to be a very stable design, which would probably lead to some very lesurely flying. Although on the other hand it looks pretty aerodynamic so you could definatly have some fun with the Bug.
