Some very interesting titbits in the article, William -but on close reading the actual article is surprisingly non-committal and vague.
I came across the story first elsewhere and my immediate reaction was "someone is practising something".

Agreed...This seemed to be more of a "test-run" of somebody wanting to gauge the abilities of the internet servers than it did to be an actual attack.

...Maybe in the short-term future, I won't have to pay an internet bill because it would still be illegal for them to collect my money for a period of "non-service"...


However, it does seem to inspire a bit of hope that the net servers would be prepared to repel an actual attack in the future...Because all this "test-run" really accomplished was to warn those servers-admins to beef up their security more & to set up alternate routing services.
