Topic started on 24-3-2006 @ 11:45 PM by menjo

Just curious, were ANY pyramids used as burial chambers for pharoes??? It seems that sny bodies that are found have been everywhere but the pyramids.

In ancient Egypt, the direction east was considered the direction of life, because the sun rose in the east. West was considered the direction of death, of entering the underworld, because the sun set in the west.

The pyramids are on the East side of the river Nile, so I believe this is why no one was actually buried in a pyramid. The tombs are all located on the West side of the river Nile
