Don't ask why, but I want a sharp royal blue suit. Those are hard to find. So I got the idea into my head that I can buy a cheap suit of the right size and style off of ebay, then I can bleach it white. Then I can dye it the right colour. What do you think? Could I pull it off, or would it come out too cruddy-looking?

Thanks

I don't think bleach removes all dyes or colour from all fabrics, and bleach can be very hard on the cloth itself if used too concentrated.

Why not buy a white suit and then dye it with the blue ?

Being a male, I can't speak with any certainty about laundry; but I'm pretty sure enough bleach to turn a dark suit white would pretty much dissolve it.

Heh I found this very pink website: home.ivillage.com...

But will those tips help for a darn suit, even a gray one?
