Most of these people it's just pure politics. If Clinton, Gore or Kerry was the President they wouldn't see a conspiracy. These people can sometimes be reasoned with.
Then there's the group that just plain doesn't trust any Govt., business, fraternal order or whatever, period. These guys see conspiracies everywhere. If the President stubs his toe walking to the podium, he was signaling the CIA to assasinate the leader of Zimbabwe, if the the leader just so happens to die that day. How he died means nothing, fact is he died and the President is guilty of it. There's no such thing as chaos with these people. Nothing just happens. There's always some evil entity behind everything and no amount of reason or facts will change their minds once set. If you continue to reason with them you will either be accused of being a govt. agent or just another member of the ignorant public too dumb, brainwashed or scared to see what's so obvious to them. These people are extremists and can not be reasoned with.
Then there's the small group that was hoodwinked into believing the conspiracy with half truths, riveting plots and just flat out lies. For example, the group of people who decided there was a conspiracy or their belief was strenghtened after watching Oliver Stones fable, JFK and/or other money making media ventures. These ones are just ignorant and can be reasoned with.
In the end I think it's best for you to just avoid the conspiracy threads because it's obvious you don't have the patience for it. I know I normally have to be in a relatively good mood before I even consider being entangled in a conspiracy discussion.
I find people like you frustrating beyond belief. I am a logical person, i try and rely on facts and not always what's reported on the news as many other people here do. People like you do not rely on facts you simply try and negate any argument with comments like that. Lumping us all in the same basket of crazy, conspiracy addicted, goverment hating or all of the above to try and completely undermine credibility. I rely on facts and in the pentagon hit of 911 there are some serious problems with the story.
