ML, you mention the Royal Arch Degree. Is that a part of the York Rite or is it entirely a different degree altogether? I read that it used to be in old days the highest level achievable in Masonry.

Yes, at one time the Royal Arch was considered the highest degree. It was conferred in Blue Lodges upon Past Masters only.

After the union of the Antient and Modern factions, the degree was moved out of the Blue Lodge and into Chapters, which was the case with Morgan (he co-signed the petition to start a Chapter).

The modern York Rite is composed of 4 bodies (Blue Lodge, Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, Council of Cryptic Masons, and Commandery of Knights Templar).

"When we view man, in the infancy of society, as in the childhood of his existence, he is weak, powerless and defenceless; but in his manhood and riper years, he has grown to his full stature, and stands forth in commanding attitude, the favored and acknowledged lord of the world. "

IT is funny that men so often think they are in control of the World, Earth, Other People, Etc.

THIS QUOTE SHOWS IT CLEARLY..

Surely this will fire somebody up...!

Masonic Light,

Is there a lodge in South East Asia, especially Indonesia?

Is it possible for someone who already joined other secret society to join Free Mason?

Thanks.

I'm not aware of any in Indonesia. There were a few French Lodges in Vietnam at one time, but they were shut down by the Communists. Most Masonic activity in the far east is found in Taiwan and Japan.

Yes.
