Wait a second here,

is not Enron litterally gone now?

how can you get blood from a stone?

besides even if money is found the tax man, the lawyers and accoutants are in line before the state of California are they not?

Annother story by a lefty designed to mislead the uninformed.

Just so you all know, I was a life-long conservative Republican who voted for Bush. I made a grave error in judgement. After Klinton, though, it was hard not to make that mistake. Four more years with Gore? Absolutely not. I am not a liberal. Sorry to disappoint you, theneo. I simply will not check my brain at the door b/c a certain party tells me to.

Not to pick at you THENEO, but have you done any research, are you on the rag today, or are you just playing devil's advocate here?

ECK,

I don't have to do any research,

as an accountant I know the law regards disposition of remaining assets in a dissolved corporation.

what is your research?

That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. No one should pay attention to anything you say, if that is what you believe.

Perhaps before you start pointing YOUR "happyazz" finger, you should do a bit more research yourself, eh??! Enron was involved with both parties affiliations......

..and the door slams on EastCoastKid's nose....

Damn. A good lesson to take from this is always do your homework, and try to find the closest thing to the source as possible. I once read a page online trying to convince us that apples were originally grown on vines.

the Internet cannot be your only source in information, regardless of its attriactiveness.

Why is it I see rense as a source - i close my mind and say forget it ?

jeez - what happened to primary research in the years since i graduated and now ?

a quoted source is ONLY as good as its primary material. If Ba degrees are awarded on the basis of this type of research then I wonder if i have a Phd

www.democracynow.org The May 26, 2006 show has a good overview of the 'mob power companies' and how they've manipulated the markets to make billions.

Greg Palast has written a book called 'Armed Madhouse' in which he explores the extent of the crimes commited by the power companies.

He states that the real crimes of price fixing and pre-meditated power black-outs colluded by all the power companies have not been addressed. How the bankers were in on the deal and the law firm that brought suit against the bankers have since been charged with crimes.

The suit against Ken Lay doesn't address the real crimes that took place, it's a decoy from the problems that are still entrenched.

Clearwater.
I truly believe that our high energy costs are connected to what Enron did in California with the blessings of many in power. How did the SEC ever allow them to use such bizarre accounting methods, ie using losses as profits. (At least, that is how I understood what was happening)

For insight into the whole Enron thing, check out this DVD ASAP:
Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room
It will open your eyes.

And, so, how does this preclude Arnold's involvement with Enron? It doesn't, does it? Another sad attempt at, "Hey, the democrats were involved too, so don't blame the republicans." As if that makes everything right....

What an old thread by the way.
