Login Name Change, is it possible?

I was wondering. Is it possible for a member to change his or her login name? If so, how would one go about doing it?

I might one day to decide to jump off of the 'larry' assembly line, and choose a name that's clever, or better reflects my personality.

Is it possible? I don't want to open another account and 'talk to myself', I was just thinking how plain and ordinary my login name is. I'm the one who came after larry993. hehe.

about 2 and a half years ago I had the same question... that answer is no. I had a couple hundred posts under the alias GiantsFan, before switching to mine. So I lost all those posts and those points but oh well.

It's just not possible.

Your only option is to re-register and give up your old username and points, etc.

BTW, nothing wrong with your name as it is, IMHO

Despite what some may lead you to believe, a name change is possible!!!

Here I stand with a little more points than I had before, a better name, I was going to use mechanic, but it was already taken as were a couple of other machanic variations. Not really knowing what else to call myself, I was sitting at my computer actually cleaning out my cookie cache, and I stumled upon one of windows xxxxx32 folders. 32 is as good a number as any, so here I am!!! Mechanic 32, but I wish I had'nt put in the space, maybe I will change again, or revert to the old one.........

If you do change it, why not use Roman numerals instead of the normal 32? You know, like XXII.

Isn't that cool?

Or maybe something like 'Mechanic ThirtyTwo'.... hmmm maybe not. Or maybe even 'Mechanic 32.2'... ah forget that last one

I signed up in the period when mods had to approve of you. When I first tried, with username "watchtherocks", I screwed up and it never went in. So I reapplied with "watch_the_rocks" and it worked, but now I have to put up with those stupid goddamn underscores!!!
