Maybe in 2007 or 2008 when America invades Iran, China relaizing that America is too bogged down in the Middle East invade Taiwan since the Taiwanese left the commitee of reunifaction with the mainland. North Korea afraid that America may invade North Korea launch a pre-emtptive stike against North Korea. North Korea also launches Missles against Japan. Will this happen I highly doubt it but you need to include Asia as well. Didnt you see the news last week? Taiwan left the commitee of reunifaction with China. And I believe North Korea said that the US and South Koreans were engaging in excersies. But yea I doubt WW3 is going to start anytime soon. And the Bird Flu? I think they are overplaying Bird Flu big time. Bird Flu does not get transmitted easily nbetween humans.

The big boys will stay out of it (directly) and wait to see what happens, to much to gain or lose politically to do anything else. Middle Eastern powers will scramble to fill any power voids and gain leverage as they always do resulting in further instability and violence. Iran’s people will revolt against its government as they are already torn and repressed leading to more instability. After a period of time it will be business as usual: A violent region governed by nations who want its oil. The bird flu will fizzle away eventually.

And that’s it! No godly interventions and the world isn’t going to explode. Now if you’ll pardon me, im off to the store to by plastic, duct tape and 100 gallons of fresh water…

So if there's a major crisis that threatens our way of life in which millions could possibly die, we'll need to play video games and have 600 channels of cable tv?

If even half of what you guys are saying is true and WW3 is days away, China and Russia will not remain neutral. They will side with the western world. Sure every nation in the world has aspects where they take issue with the US, but no one has a greater air force than the US. Having the high ground is crucial to winning any war. Think of it like this if some one asked you, which car would be the fastest in a 2 mile race...a brand new Ferrari (the West and it's allies) or a VW Beetle with no wheels and a missing engine (the people who side against the West and it's allies)? If the answer isn't obvious then you need to loosen your tin foil hat. It's all about creating preliminary advantage and gaining leverage. A lot the posters I see here have an unhealthy fear of those places. Perhaps they're having anti-commi flash backs or something.

Even if the USD collapses, wealthy CEOs (who have the most power in the United States) will probably grease over the ESCBs and get the United States placed on the Euro.

The point Vis Mega is trying to make (in several posts in this thread, including the original post) is not that bird flu itself is a danger, but that the fear of bird flu is going to be used, in the very near future, to cause people to prepare for a disaster that is actually going to come in the form of global conflict. Your argument regarding bird flu, though insightful, is not quite applicable to the discussion at hand.

How many MILLIONS and MILLIONS of Arabs have killed each other over the last few thousand years? How many 10's of thousands kill each other each year today? The Middle East is unstable and has been for many centuries before there was a USA, let alone a "West". The Middle East is the most self destructive region in the entire world and in all of human history.

You know why? Intolerance, pride, "honor", and oppressive religious beliefs. If the west attacks Iran (a NON Arab country) the Middle East will holler and moan and have a great deal of secular violence at the west and its forces. But there will be so much infighting and violence they will not come together as a tangible force. They simply aren’t capable of it, not wired that way so to speak.

The Middle East has wealth beyond comprehension, but much of it is living in repressed, 3rd world conditions, why?

The Arab world will do nothing as a collective if Iran is attacked.
