Salon.com has released 279 photos and 19 videos from this prison. They are completely unedited so no blurry parts nor hiding any of the prisoners. The thumbnails of photos do obscure faces but when enlarged they are as they were taken. (Warning for those at work, these do include nudity)

I have mixed feelings about this full release. While I think it shows there was a huge problem there we have seen what a cartoon can do in that region.

I can see absolutely no purpose that is served by releasing these photgraphs, other than to stoke the fires of protest and violence. The people that were involved have been tried and convicted already.

Quiet a double edged sward here..... Freedom of information would push for the publicity of these images and information relating to what happend. However i feel that this might also be risking the unfortunate american soldiers whom have been caught up in this whole political mess..........

Do they assist anything i dont think so.....
