I just found this little nugget of joy.

Google Mars

I'm assuming it's in celebration of the MRO achieving orbit successfully. Or maybe they needed a follow up of Google Moon

Though, I think it's really because our Ant Overlords demanded it of Google.

That's awesome! Now all they need to do is add the moon and mars to the google earth program. Anyway, great find. This will keep me busy for a while

I wonder what China will do with the face, all those pesky trees, and the swimming pools that keep popping up.

You know what would impress me? Google Ocean Floor.

Too bad Google can't add landmarks such as The Carl Sagan Memorial and the old viking lander and the two rovers currently on Mars. One day we may have conspiracy threads about "is this the secret location of area G4 Cydonia Mars Base?" or something like that.

Mars never looked so colorful before. I like all the colors. I bet when humans land there, all we're going to find is a rusty old planet with dull ordinary colors.

After checking out Mars some more, I see that spacecraft are identified by clicking on the spacecraft link in the top left. I like this.

you can even search for "face on mars" and "cydonia" on the map using the text box at the top

now people will be able to finally point to where Cydonia is on mars

You could just get NASA's World Wind program or look up the Clementine images if you want to see the far side of the moon.

worldwind.arc.nasa.gov...
