In many Illinois school districts blind students are required to pass drivers education classes, even though the state only requires that school
districts have drivers education classes for those that want to take the classes with no state requirement for anyone. The spokesperson for the state
department of education says it "defies logic".

CHICAGO - Most high school students eagerly await the day they pass driver’s education class. But 16-year-old Mayra Ramirez is indifferent about
it.
Ramirez is blind, yet she and dozens of other visually impaired sophomores in Chicago schools are required to pass a written rules-of-the-road exam in
order to graduate — a rule they say takes time away from subjects they might actually use.

It would be interesting to see how the students of these school districts rank in academics. I wonder if these school districts also make the
paraplegics participate in dodge ball?
