Lost City of Ubar

Anyone else interested in a real "Atlantis of the Sand"?

And as such...anyone know what they've found there?

If you have Google Earth or something like that, the location of Ubar is:

lat=18.2544484177, lon=53.6503947077

Apparently they found the city completly destroied, apparently because it was made above a cavern, and when a part of the cavern collapsed, the city collapsed with it.

Apparently NASA were drafted in to find the city using space based observations...

Yes I'm aware how it was discovered using remote sensing; but I think a discussion of this city would be most amazing.

Is it near Fubar? 'cause I've been there, man.
