Yes emile, also see the Fairey Fox light bomber. The Fantome was the ultimate British biplane fighter with a top speed of 270mph and a cieling of 36,000ft, only three were built and these were shipped to Belgium as the Fairey Feroce, one crashed but the other two later fought in the Spanish Civil War.

Yes, Waynos, every time we discuss aiecraft, your opnion always being great! I've always been wondering why the beautiful planes always been built so few, I couldn't find out coloer pix to show they are still exist today.

The Curtiss R.6 might could be called beautiful too, what's your opnion?

Then the Antonov An-2 may be a knid of standard beautiful

just like Gladiator

The Curtiss certainly is, I'll pass on the Antonov. Look up also the Gloster IV racer, I'll post a pic later if you can't find one.

I realise these are not bi planes and im just editing my post but they are unusal aircraft and being as there float planes ive stuck them in.....(minus the last one obviously...apologies for that)

Some really wonderful aircraft

I must admit though I still a fan of the wood and canvas era..but its great to see other people with an appreciation of the finer aircraft.
