Regarding the guardian, if it is left wing then how do you account for the subject of this discussion then?

Umm, maybe because we've actually read the Guardian?
You seriously think the Guardian is right wing? Then you're more deluded than I thought.

If you know as much about the BBC as you think you do about the Guardian, then that'll amount to... approximately zip.

I'll let Nerdling answer your BBC queries, seeing as he says he works for them an' all...

Ithink it will make things worse if anything, the only reason Israel really don't like Arafat is because he has consistantly stood up to the Israeli's

Or because he bankrolls terrorist organizations by funnelling Palestinian "relief" funds, and "charity" donations....
Hmm???

Explains the recent quietness though....maybe Isreal is just waiting around for him to croak...??? That seems to be a pretty good strategy.... He's out of the picture, can't blame the Isrealis, and then maybe the Palestinians would be forced to acknowledge a new leader who isn't a terrorist? And then peace might actually happen.....

I always found the Guardian a bit to left for me but I admit it's popular.

The Guardian is one of the few quality national newspapers in the world to have a completely free online section.

But it doesn't sell especially well at all, in comparison to the Times and the Telegraph.

I agree that there is a backwards agenda somewhere in the BBC, I see it as a part of the recent war against the BBC.

The BBC could easily have been infiltrated by any of our intelligence services, I am sure it has been, possibly at the highest levels.

"Report: Arafat Has Stomach Cancer"
Link:
www.foxnews.com...

Excerpt:

"Yasser Arafat is suffering from stomach cancer, according to a source inside his Ramallah compound, Time magazine has reported.

However, the 74-year-old Palestinian leaders personal physician, Dr. Ashraf al-Kurdi, and gastroenterologist Dr. Ala Toukan, told The Associated Press that that rumor was untrue.

"President Arafat has a stomach ailment," al-Kurdi said in a telephone interview from Amman, Jordan. "Reports that he had a heart attack or is suffering from stomach cancer are completely untrue."

Arafat's condition has been widely covered in Arab media outlets. According to Time, Al-Jazeera reported that a team of doctors from Jordan and another team from Egypt arrived in Ramallah Wednesday to treat Arafat.

Abu Dhabi TV reported Thursday that the Egyptian doctors "expressed concern" about the state of Arafats health following their examination, according to Time.

Reports of Arafat's state of health pushed aside most local broadcast news in Israel on Thursday. Two Israeli TV stations conducted their own interviews with al-Kurdi. Israel's government has labeled Arafat an obstacle to peace and has threatened to "remove" him.

Arafat has been confined for nearly two years to his compound by Israeli sieges and threats that he will not be allowed to return if he leaves.

Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Jonathan Peled said Wednesday that Israel "probably would" permit Arafat to leave the compound if he needs to be treated at a hospital."

Well, he's not dead, just dying painfully and slowly.
