I have been wondering why only USSR has studied ground-effect aircraft but other high-industrilized country or developed country has never built any G-E. aircraft. Maybe I an wrong, if there is please tell me with prove, if not please teach me why?

There have been a great number of WIG craft from around the world emile. here is the 1970's RFB X-114 from Germany;

There is also a trans-atlantic heavy hauler ground effect aircraft in the works for the military. Just too low and slow for my tastes.

Wu? Waynos the aircraft you post I have seen before, I just think it is too small to be useful,but mxboy15u, that Ground-effect aircraft you said that can go across atlantic I have never seen before, could you gve some links or pics to show?
