Hmmm....there are two sides to this.
1.) Yes, US forces have this right. Some POWs may have knowledge or information that could very well save thousands or more. Yes, we may have to
use brutal means to extract said information. If must be done.
2.) And No. US forces should not beat, berate, or torture for the fun of it. We should not make POWs stand naked for hours while we take photos or
build human pyramids. That is degrading to everyone as a human being an does nothing to protect the people.
And no POW has ever stood trial. Once the war was over, said POWs were either released or officialy charged with War Crimes and Crimes Against
Humanity and others.
