Its tricky, the whole label 'Ancients' . It can refer to the earliest races in a general sense . If you go back far enough genetically speaking we are all descended from them BUT like any evolving species they split and went down many different paths . Some people used to refer to Altairians as ancients but if you were to call any altairian an ancient now that would be a grave offence .

Ancient as in annunaki again is confusing because the children of anu were a eugenics experiment to create a super soldier . It all went pear shaped and ended in a massive war . many Ancients never wanted war with altair system but Enki picked a fight and it rapidly got nasty .

The humanoid ancients who created Enki were empire builders certainly and rutheless ones at that . But when it came to the arts of war ,the altairians were just better soldiers . It was a close run thing though and still considered the blackest page in Altairian history .

There are no winners in war .

The pit of revelation probably refers to naturaly occuring wormholes .
These occur when many planets align . The last time the fabric of space got opened up this wide there was a huge free for all war for over territory .

so you can run but you wont be able to hide from the next one .

PROJECT STARGATE - no that's a BIG one... I was just talking about that with somebody yesterday. I was thinking more along the lines of entertainment; movies, books, contemporary music even. Or also in non-fiction works.

There's also one of those "massively multiplayer" online games coming out called Stargate Worlds. There is a cool packet of graphics you can download from them.

this suggests the pit is a mine. that's what sitchin thinks the abzu is... a gold mine in africa. i don't think so.

by the way, the idea of women being incubators for alien offspring recalls to mind that abduction phenomena, in which women have claimed to be impregnated without their consent or knowledge, only to find a few months later that they are inexplicably, no longer pregnant. some claim this is just a convenient way of being adulterous and later having an abortion to remove the evidence. while this may be the case in some of the stories, you have to wonder why this is such a prevalent theme among female abductees.

add a twist to that: Apollyon of Revelation 9, also known as Abaddon in the same verse, is another title of Apollo as the Destroyer. I did a little etymology research on Apollo, as you can well imagine, and found it had some echoes back to the water god. Enki wasn't just the god of water, though, he was also the god of earth. people assumed it meant the god of soil, dirt, rocks. but it's more like the entire planet, as in the EARTH, as opposed to the hebrew view, which was very simplistic - et.al, if it was dirt, and they were standing on it, it was the earth. since they didn't have upper or lower case, the application is only identifiable by the context of the surrounding information.
