New Changes to ATS (Almost Version 5.0)

New "sweeping" changes have been talking place over the past few days:

1- New site "header" and board menu buttons

2- Addition of TinWiki and Gear Store to our domain menu

3- New Board home page with a refined layout

4- The domain home is now the board home


ATS 5.0 will be complete once the new ATSNN, ConspiracyMasters, and TinWiki sites are completed and live.

Is the new width going to stay how it is?

It tends to cause me to scroll, left-to-right on this newer version. :|

It fits in my 1024 wide browser window here on: Safari, Firefox, Opera, IE.

Looks great A little wide for me too; I can see everything I need to, but I have a bottom scroll bar (1024 FF 1.5). The header bar is just a little too wide. No biggie, but just FYI.

Also, on the home page, you have this:

Which might it be, 5.0 or 6.0?

Looks great! The buttons are 100 times better!

Also being directed straight to the board as the homepage saves everyone a click everytime signing on.

It was alittle tough to distinguish ATS and BTS at first since they were the same color but its nothing now.

I use the 1024 setting in IE and I get a scroll bar at the bottom, which I can adjust so as not to have to scroll to see everything.

Also, while the new home page is cleaner looking, a lot of the data is missing that I used to enjoy checking out from time to time, like post and reply counts, new members, applause, and the always convenient list of mods and admins. Have those been moved elsewhere?

PS What is TinWiki?

PPS The letters on the buttons could be sharper. I'm getting blinder by the day.

I was going to mention the same thing. It does say 6.0 on the front page.

Maybe "6.0" is better. In reality, the previous button/header was our 5th redesign... but it was launched without any other improvements and the board remained at version 4.0.

Any reason as to why on 1024 we're all getting the scroll bar then?

It's only about half an inch for me. I don't have a problem with it. Is that a problem?

Yeah I am getting the bottem scroll, but its not really required. I can view everything I need without having to touch it.

SkepticOverlord is currently working on the "1024" issue. Will keep you updated.

I got away for a day and comeback completely lost in ATS, I could not even find the sign in button, they moved it all the way from one side to the other.

I though somebody cut me out of here.

I dont like the new design, its too cluttered and confusing
I liked when i went to the index page, it had all the news at the top, and all the top posts in each sectio, so i could find it easily..I loved looking under UFO section for top topics!
Oh well, ill have to get used to it.

i think this is terrible its just easier to go to new post now to read what people are talking about. i liked that part the way it was before. abt, bts, and pts. was just easy to read. now its complicated.

It's all still there, just takes a little time to aquaint yourself with it. Been through this before. In a week you won't know the difference, and it looks WAY better imo.

i second that, so i will leave. serpo taught me what a waste of time it is to read this board anyway. if something important happens i will hear it, from somewhere else anyway.

have you sold out comletely now? icke the nutcase has a sponsored forum?
