I'm not a professional home recorder. As long as that horrible noise stops, which it did with the other computer (which has integrated sound) I'm a happy camper. My husband wanted to go nuts, but I'm not comfortable spending even what we did on a computer for me. So we compromised.

My penis is big enough to survive an 80G drive and integrated sound.

Sounds like you got an excellant system. You will need it if you decide to update to the new windows Vista OS that comes out later this year. You will be set to just pop in the disk and install it.

Majic puts in his tuppence forensically. Even though BH is getting a new machine (yay!), there are some things to try when attempting to isolate digital noise interfering with analog audio inputs inside the computer case. Just sayin'.
