There's something happening here.......
Between Martin Lawrence's Big Momma, Tyler Perry's Madea and for the last two days Barry Bonds silly impersonation of Paula Abdul, it seems as though Hollywood can't get enough black men in drag. Dave Chappelle made the statement on Oprah that he was being pushed into wearing dresses on his show and refused to be portrayed as such.
Any comments?

Dudes in drag are funny.
It has been a tool in comedy forever.

What do you suspect is happening?

Yeah.

I saw that Oprah episode too. Dave says he's into conspiracies, but I think he may have a point there.

Besides the already mentioned, you have Wesley Snipes in Too Wong Fu and Chris Tucker in The Fifth Element.

But, with Madea, that's all Tyler Perry. Dude is a genius with them plays.

I saw the previews of Madea's Family Reunion and i cant wait to go see it. BTW, this is for BTS

We can follow you there.

to add, remember Flip Wilson? He was always in drag. There is nothing conspiratorial or constipating about this subject.

Really.

Just so we have a visual aid. Barry Bonds as Paula Abdul:

The only thing I see wrong with this is pretty obvious............isn't it?
Just for the record I have seen white men in dresses before.

I mean not in person!

Peace

Hey, don't forget Eddie Murphy in The Nutty Professor and Meet The Klumps. He played several different women. Odd that a lot of these roles are for old women.

Hercules!...Hercules!
