Government Issues Statement/Warning

French President issues statement on growing world crisis

The government of France which has largely been silent on the rising tension around the globe has finally issued an official statement. The Americans had insisted France make a statement to let them know where they stand on the whole situation.
In the statement faxed out to the major news stations this moring French president T. Hatsju Stweird stated that he "prays to God" the situation doesn't escalate and can be resolved peacfully. "The government of France strongly condemns any deliberate attacks or acts of sabatoge that have been acted out against our allies. We strongly urge all sides to find a diplomatic solution to this crisis. However, if this latest attack on American and Egyptian vessels was a deliberate act of war, the government of France will support military action against that nation or nations involved. We will stand by the NATO principle that an attack on one NATO nation, in this case the United States, is an attack on all."
The President stoped short of saying whether France will contribute any manpower or equipment if military action were to be taken. The French military has been put on high alert because of the growing crisis, but no large troop movements have taken place as of yet.

Ok folks. Before we get too much farther into things, I need 2 maps from every country. One "unclassified" map with air, sea, and land units marked on it. These are the units that you have announced movement for. The 2nd map will be your "classified" map. This will have units that you have NOT announced, submarine patrol routes (if any), minefield locations (if any), and anything else you think is relevant. I need both of those by this weekend. The Unclassified maps can and should be posted in the thread. The Classified maps can be uploaded to imageshack, or wherever, and U2U me the link for it. Turn based play will be returning soon, so we need these maps ASAP. No later than Saturday morning.

For those that have questions about the timeline, we're just finishing day 3 and moving into day 4.

The scenario is currently on HOLD until we have maps, and status of forces to me by all countries playing. Do not post any moves, only maps until further notice.

Subject: Troop movement

To: Ministry of Defence


Due to increasing tensions in Africa, Asia, and the Middle east the President with the agreement of the Prime Minister has order the militray be put on high alert. A third naval fleet will be ordered to the Mediterranean soon, but as for now there will be no further troop movements from our major Army, Airforce, and Naval bases/battlegroups (major ones pictured below) until further notice.



This goes for troops stationed home and abroad. There will be no troop level increses or decreases in operations in Afghanistan, and Cote d'Ivoire for now.

The mixed marine regiment and Foreign Legion regiments currently in Djibouti are to be put on very high alert. We will discuss whether to pull out or incease troops to the region soon.

**Unclassified**

The nation of Iran has mobilized one million members of its Basiji militia and moved them to its border with Iraq. The main forces of the Iranian military remain clustered around Tehran to protect the city in the event of an attack. Other forces are scattered around the country and preparing to hold their ground should an attack come their way.

Ok, since I have maps from most of you (ape you have an extension due to circumstances beyond your control for the other map) the game is back on. It's the start of Day 4.

Russia, since you didn't bother to give me a map, all of your units are in garrison with equipment in storage. If you plan to make any moves it will take three days to prepare, and an additional 2 to start the move.

I will post an official notification, with the turn schedule, 24 hours before we go back to a turn based system. For now the turn system is still inactive.

Alarmed by rising unrest – and the frightening degeneration into anarchy of Japan and Korea - The government of the Philippines , has requested the return of US forces to the country – after an absence of nearly 20 years

Subic bay , Clarke AFB and other key strategic bases are being reoccupied – by US forces

Advanced parties are already on the ground – ensuring infrastructure etc is ready for the arrivals . And sitting defensive weaponry – etc .

Over 180 USAF aircraft are ` underway ` - to new bases in Philippines – once they are – they will “ seal the gaps – enforcing a blockade from the coast of Vietnam – all the way to Alaska

Now – the only way in or out of Japan and Korea – is over land – through china , if the Chinese allow it –

An executive summary – of US force


ERITREA – THE RED SEA

A major amphibious assault force is being prepped – in holding areas in the Arabian desert – ready to strike across the red sea –

Intelligence assets are being – flown hourly over the arabian peninsula looking down at every move Eritrea makes

Army and airforce intel personnel – are in Cairo – liaising with their Egyptian allies – and feeding the Egyptian planners real time data

And air force planners are entering strike codes for targets in ertitrea into computers

IRAN – THE STRAITS OF HOMUZ

Naval task force TF1 – comprising of the Ronald Reagan CBG and Nassau amphibious group – shielded by a submarine screening force – is enforcing the homourz blockade

Since yesterday – no ship of any flag has passed – in direct response to the Iranians mining the straits

Paras from 101 airborne – are occupying forward position in Oman – with artillery , air defenses

Harriers and apaches are dug in forward – ready to punch holes in the air defence net – of Iran – in preparation for the heavy bombers – who will strike deep into Iran – ripping out the heart of her military / industrial base

Only a token force – remains in the gulf . mainly mine sweepers – so that when the USN decides to re open the straits – we can engage the issue from both ends

JAPAN – KOREA

Air groups in adnak , Alaska , Guam and the Philippines – now encircle the rogue nations – all their life lines to the outside world are severed – the US has the capacity to turn away any civilian flight – and is now doing so – They also have the fighters to engage any military escorts

At sea – it is open season on Japanese and Korean flagged vessels – and any ship heading for their ports .

2 submarine hunter killer groups are converging on the area – including the latrest SSGN attack platforms

STRATEGIC ISSUES :

The biggest deployment of us forces since wwii – is now in full swing

The US can maintain this tempo for a maximum of 45 days – but the the economies of Japan , Korea and Iran will collapse within 2 weeks –

We now have the capacity to hit any target – world wide – our enmies or any one who might aid them are under our sights – we know where you are – and can kick your house down -

They have backed themselves into a corner – now its crunch time

WAR OR PEACE

Despite all the provocations , illegal actions and sniping – the US does not want war – but is going to beat the crap out of anyone who insists on pouring petrol on the flames

If rogue nations back down , and disarm , - there can be peace , but it will be be on US terms

Response to red sea attacks

The US reports that they intercepted a flotilla of 15 iranian patrol and midssile attack boats – as they attempted to launch a cowardly attack on oil terminals in Saudi and sudan

Citizens of sudan , and Saudi Arabia ---- Iranian assasins were attempting to kill your friends and families – even you – in order to bring chaos and tryrany to the middle east

Thanks to the bravery of USN personel – and the quick thinking of tactical commanders – no Saudi or Sudanese casualties were suffered

All 15 boats were engaged – 14 were sunk – and one captured – 6 iranian POWs are now being interrogated

The withdrawal from korea , japan and Okinawa

On day one – all dependant and non combat personell were evacuated “ women and children first “

All surplus / classified and other material that cannot be removed , is being burned - bonfires are being stoked 24/7 to dispose

All US flags in asian bases are flown @ ½ mast in honour of the US service men murdered in the red sea

All bases are on the highest alert status

All guard posts are fully manned and armed

All armour artillery and air assets available – are on a defensive posture

Any attempts to interfere with our withdrawl – the withdrawl you demanded – will be met with overwhelming and devastating force

Being a small country we have no troop movements to report other than to say all our conscriptions and regular military are on full alert.

The President of Iran announced today that it was in a state of war with the government of the United states. The official announcement read:

"A flotilla of iranian fishing vessals was attacked by the cowardly amercan warships today and the loss of many civilian fisherman is the result. Our submarines are moving into position and our forces are preparing to exact revenge against the murderous monsters who would kill the innocent."
