I always wondered why nothing was said about her being a target, this type of attack would infuriate the british public and we have yet to see any revenge attacks on the UK.

Thats quite a disturbing thought, I'm not a massive supporter of the monarchy, but an attack aimed to towards her, an elderly women, seems like a pretty low and sick move to make.

I'm sure if any terrorist did decide to go after her, then I don't think she'd stand much chance, she's isn't the most agile of people.

... It would also mean Prince Charles would reign, which is catastrophic in itself!

But I think there'd be more Americans crying over her than us Brittish, a lot of middle aged and old ladies over there adore royalty for some bizzare.......she isn't exactly a "good" or even "decent" person, and she lives in a palace for God's sake!

Of course you must think of how the news would be handled in the UK, we'd be thrown into 24hr news coverage on all channels from the BBC, ITV and SkyNews and each of these is very pro-royal.

Hey, you never know, David Dimbleby may get the chance to host another royal funeral...what a lucky man.

The worst part of it all would have to be the millions of "Memorial Memrobilia". Commemarative Coins, Plates, CD's, Toilet Roll, Sweets, Chocolate, Pens, Pencils, Cups, Teapots.......all with the queens face on!

I don't know how the British people feel about her personally, but this attack wouldn't be on some old lady... it would be more of an attack on a figurehead. See this is the bit about terrorism that most people keep forgetting. The word is terrorism. The point is to spread terror, fear etc. By knocking off a nation's figurehead the group is attempting to send a message to that nation that no one, from the top down, is safe. No one cares about the old lady or her floppy eared son. The fact is they are considered by the nation to be "the royal family. A blow to them will instill fear into the hearts of British citizens moreso than popping a bomb off in a coffee shop and killing 12 kids. That's the mindset of one intending to spread fear.

I don't like the Royals, they are the elite of the elite, and stinking rich, but I certainly wouldn't want the Queen to die, I was quite uposet when the Queen mum died.

Actually, thinking about this, if Charles became King the Monarchy wouldn't last long, it would be left behind the way things are going. But then again they do hold a considerable amount of power and wouldn't let go easily.
