Were poor little Lambs who have lost our way. Bah Bah Bah.
Were lost little sheep who have gone astray. Bah Bah Bah.
Gentleman songster off on a spree.
Damned from here to eternity.
God have mercy on such as we.
Bah Bah Bah.

Think its a joke Guys. Ha ha ha ha. We will see. One who sets out ofr etertnal damnation, should be prepared to face the consequences. Not pretty folks.

Err... you're not terribly familiar with Yale and the clubs, I take it.

It means what it says: The Whiffenpoofs are the Yale male acapella choir, and this song was written by them in 1909. It shows up all sorts of places and has been parodied by a lot of folks, including Tom Leherer.

And it's talking about what scandalous scamps they are for getting together and doing rounds at the bars and singing songs in the bars (which was a bit rowdy and scandalous for THOSE times.)

Now... I'm not sure under what sort of logic a 40-member male choir/glorified barbershop quartet can be considered a road to damnation or whatever. So far their singing hasn't brought on Armageddon, the rise of the Antichrist, the breakdown of society, a notable increase in the evil of society, or the return of the bedbugs. People who sing the song haven't gone off on any rampages or run around kissing sheep.

And let's not blame the Whiffenpoofs for HAARP, either. I'm sure they're not contributing to global warming.

The Wiffenpoofs' Song
To the tables down at Mory's,
To the place where Louis dwells,
To the dear old Temple Bar we love so well,
Sing the Wiffenpoofs assembled
With their glasses raised on high,
And the magic of their singing casts its spell.

Yes, the magic of their singing
Of the songs we love so well,
"Shall I wasting," and "Mavourneen,"
And the rest;
We will seranade our Louis
While life and voice shall last,
Then we'll pass and be forgotten with the rest.
We're poor little lambs who have lost our way:
Baa! Baa! Baa!
We're little lost sheep who have gone astray:
Baa! Baa! Baa!

Gentlemen songsters off on a spree,
Damned from here to eternity:
God have mercy on such as we:
Baa! Baa! Baa!
