The nightmare scenario, according to Berkeley economist (and former Clinton Treasury official) Brad DeLong, is that the Democrats regain the White House and decide that Clinton's big economic error "was in ruling like a moderate Republican."

"That White House would then say, 'The Republicans bet that they could run large deficits produced by tax cuts and that we would clean up their mess? Let's raise them: let's put all the social programs we might ever like to see in motion, double the deficit, and make it their responsibility to clean up the mess.'" wrote DeLong on his Website. "That way lies Argentina, remarkably rapidly."

THis shows the deceipt that runs DEEP in the core of the libs. It is truly scandelous when you consider "one of their own" is saying this directly, NOT a quote from some shadowy reporter "Claiming" they said it, a quote directly from the mouth of the perp.

I love the reference to Agentina too. Now there's a fiscal model we DON'T want to follow!

Historically, government revenues increase after a tax cut. Even JFK knew this to be true. Implementation of the program described could be called the "Economic Doomsday Plan."

We have historical evidence that once a government program is started, it never goes away, no matter how useless and outdated it is. And, when money runs out, the most useful and needed parts of a program are cut, insuring that money will be added back ASAP.

Maybe in response, the republicans should float a 0% tax proposal.

No doubt! The BEST way to INCREASE cash flow to the government is to DECREASE the tax burden to business and the indevidual.
