Greetings Fellow Believers,

My passion is called Cryptoarcheology. Loosely translated, it's the active investigation of previously existing civilizations...that came before our ancestors.

Avoiding theories while investigating is like trying to dodge raindrops during monsoon season. Finding stuff online about this field is hit-or-miss.

I happened across an article posted by Govardham Hill Publishing dated March 7th, 1996 ( nersp.nerdc.ufl.edu... ). To the point: these metal spheres were found "...in a mineral deposit 2.8 billion years old."

Assuming that Humankind could have risen much deeper in time that what is commonly known, it is highly improbable that our ancestors could have existed 2.8 billion years ago. So who came before us?

These spheres were obviously manufactured.

Any thoughts fellow believers?

theory 1: the spheres are NOT manufactured, and have been falsely labeled.

theory 2: they aren't THAT old

theory 3: an ancient extraterrestrial civilization placed them there and will be checking back to film an intergalactic "punking"

Are you sure these aren't a hoax? If these were real then surely there would be more news about them other than some obscure web page. If they aren't hoaxes, who the heck made these things???

I would have said they could have been normally formed in the middle of the earth somewhere, except for those weird rings around it. It is worth noting that round objects do appear in nature, like pearls, rocks, etc. The grooves may have been created when it was pressing up against something as the molten metal was formed into a solid, you never know.

How big are these things anyways? The size of ball bearings? The article doesn't say.

Also worth noting that only one out of hundreds apparently had these grooves in it. The other ones were smooth, and some were not even perfectly round.

Here's the scoop from the end of the Evylllll Scyyyyentists:

They exist. They're real. Scientists are interested in them and have studied them. There's indeed a collection in the South African museum.

BUT (you knew that was coming, right?) :
* In popular literature, the source is misidentified.
* the number of grooved spheres is actually small. In fact, as the source page says, there's just one.
* the original source of the reports is the Weekly World News (the tabloid) : Jimison, S. (1982) "Scientists baffled by space spheres." Weekly World News, July 27.
* As your source page notes, the spheres form naturally in metamorphic rock:

* they're of limonite (as your source page notes.)
* They're also found in other areas of the world (Turkey, Israel, etc.)

Small magnetic spheres are found in Israel:

So evidence shows that these form naturally. Their appearance did baffle scientists for awhile until further study and research showed what kind of material they are (limonite) and that they do deposit naturally. They're interesting, and some people collect them, but they're not rare.

NOW... the 3-grooved sphere
There's just one (supposedly.) It was not found "in situ" and recorded "in situ" by someone. It just "showed up" and was reported in a tabloid and nowhere else. The "grooved sphere" isn't available to anyone to study, or even to look at (as Cremo and Thompson, cited on your source page say.) Nobody seems to know where it is.

So what's the evidence that the sphere is real?
* We have a photograph of a metallic-looking sphere (no scale) with 3 grooves (I believe the image is from the tabloid newspaper itself.)
* a tabloid newspaper said it was real.

...and that's the sum of the evidence. Period.

Is your Skepto-meter pinging off the scale by now? Mine certainly is!

It's either the dating method or we know squat of evolution, perhaps, it's not as random as it appears, in that case, there's a chance certain species are always the end result (some two legged creature like us).

I dunno, either way we have a lot to think about and it's a shame that current education likes to state things matter-of-factly, without adressing the inconsistencies, so very few people ever bother to rethink established theories, even though they are contradictory.

Out-of-Place Metal Objects
Humans were not even around 65 million years ago, never mind people who could work metal. So then how does science explain semi-ovoid metallic tubes dug out of 65-million-year-old Cretaceous chalk in France? In 1885, a block of coal was broken open to find a metal cube obviously worked by intelligent hands. In 1912, employees at an electric plant broke apart a large chunk of coal out of which fell an iron pot! A nail was found embedded in a sandstone block from the Mesozoic Era. And there are many, many more such anomalies.

This may sound dumb but what if it was created a couple of billion yueras ago as a rough sphere then a few million years ago a tribe found them and carved them down.
