Fair enough, I'll tell you what I believe and where I'm coming from. I believe that the Bible is the Word of God. I believe that the Bible tells of a coming Messiah and also tells what will happen in the world that we live in.
I believe that Jesus is the Christ and Messiah of the world.

Personally, I don't have much use for religion. Religion is created by man and much of it is used to keep you from the truth. Pure Christianity is really not religion, it is only the truth. I certainly realize that it is classified as a religion and that is understandable. If we get far enough in this thread, we will take a look at some of the religions and show how they are only part of the Matrix to keep you in blindness.

It was my understanding that the killing of males was the story of Moses. Not Jesus, who was born in a manger. They put baby Moses in a basket and floated him down the River Nile ... so before you go any further, please explain this ! Moses is the one who had those tablets of ten commandemnts

Actually, the whole life of Moses is a "Prophetic Parallel" to the coming Messiah(Jesus).

The Bible says that one will come with powers like Moses. Meaning able to do impossible things in the physical world like Moses. This was Jesus.

How was Moses a "Prophetic Parallel" to Jesus? To cover this point lightlynotice the following:

The male children were killed and Moses was spared. The same happened to Jesus. When the wise men came to see the newborn King, Herod sought to kill him and had the children of Bethlehem killed.

Moses parted the Red Sea, Jesus calmed the Sea of Galilee.

Moses and Jesus cured lepers.

Both fasted forty days.

There are other things, but this one is important:

NUMBERS 21:4 And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way. 5 And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. 6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. 7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. Moses made a brass serpent and hung it from a pole. If anyone was bitten they could look upon the brass serpent and live.

Jesus was hung from a cross. Anyone can look to Him and have life everlasting.

Moses brought the ten commandments and the law. Jesus fulfilled the law and brought 2 new commandments. Love God and Love your neighbor.

He is born under a bright star heralding his arrival, he is visited by 3 kings, and then what ?

He shows up in jerusalem 30 years later with about 15 followers ? I may be mistaken (probably am), but how do you go from savior to unknown so quickly ?

I only ask because you seem to know your stuff, and most people can't really answer this for me

Only three wise men from the East followed the star to seek the Messiah. They are the only ones who saw the newborn King.

Matthew 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. 3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. 5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, 6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.

Read the rest of Matthew 2. You can look it up on the Net. The wise men were supposed to come back to Herod and report where they had found the newborn King. They were warned in a dream and returned home by another route not reporting to Herod. Herod then went to kill all the newborns in Bethlehem but Joseph and Mary left taking Jesus before this could happen.

Ok, let me get this straight. You say that you follow what the bible says and believe what it says right? So outside of the Word what are you going to reveil that has not already been reveiled by the Word? The story of Jesus and Moses and Noah and Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and Elijah and Elisha and Job and Paul and Peter and Stephen and all the others are well known for those not lazy and actually read the bible. Is there some new "revelation" you are going to impart like maybe you found some golden tablets and the Angel spoke to you saying it was ok to have 300 wives and not pay taxes? Or even better that you need to get a subscription to the watch tower? Or hale bopp is coming and we need to drink some cool-aide? Can we get an inkling, please? No problem as far as scripture goes, the problem is I can't pull anything out without laying groundwork. So when I start laying the groundwork, you will say, this is nothing new, I know this already. And I will bring out piece after piece and you will say, nothing new bub. It's how the pieces fit that you probably aren't aware of. So bear with me, I'm thinking about where to start.

Ok, I contend that there is a world created to keep you from the truth. It's all around, but you are unaware. Since it's everywhere, where do I start. Gotta start with one piece.

I'm going to start at Christmas. The Messiah was born to pay for the sins of men. We supposedly celebrate the birth of the Messiah at Christmas. What if you were a child and got up on Christmas day and gave thanks to God for sending the birth of his Son. What if that was all you knew, Jesus was born on this day, celebrate and worship the fulfillment of Gods promise. Are you taught about God and his love. OR, are you taught a piece of the Matrix.

Are you taught to worship false gods? Are you taught there is no God?

Jesus was born in the spring, and yet we celebrate his birth on December 25th. Guess what? This is the birthday of the SUN god, a false God. Check for yourself, it's not a hidden fact but a true one.

And who is this Santa character that sees all that you do, good or bad. Soon you realize Santa is a made up lie. Is God who sees all a madeup lie?

Do a little research on Santa and his reindeer and you will find the story of mushrooms and how they make the reindeer fly. You will find false gods.

Sorry for bringing religion into the mix, it just rubs me the wrong way when the followers of religion feel that there are answers there.

The Christmas tree came from Nimrod who later became Baal the sun god.

She claimed that a full-grown evergreen tree sprang overnight from a dead tree stump, which symbolised the springing forth unto new life of the dead Nimrod. There is also more with Wreaths and mistleto but that should cover it. Now they are going to take Christ out completely and call it a holiday tree.

Yes, christmas traditions were placed over paganistic rituals to wipe them out so everyone would celebrate christianity on this day. I live in Australia but while I was in USA last christmas all the advertisements took away any connection to christmas - they called it 'happy holidays' instead. And boy was it all just a commercial rollercoaster ride. Sure, they are being politically correct - but to me christmas is christmas, not a commercialised holiday.

Just some thoughts here.

I'll use the movie for comparison. Alright, you wake up in the matrix. You start seeing the truth within the lies. You can see the essense of the program. And it looks like you have a hot line out of the soup.

If you are in the matrix, wouldn't everything in the matrix be suspect? If you found a book on how to escape the matrix, would you believe it? What if the book proclaimed to be the Word of the Architect? What if billions of other copper tops followed the same book?

I hope you see my flow of logic. I'm not saying the bible is without merit. But do know that the best lie is 99% truth. It's that 1% that will get you. Do you understand who Jesus really was? Do you understand the concepts of heaven and hell? Do you grok the meaning behind the concept of God? Do you fully grasp what "born again" entails? Do you now see who the Devil really is? Do you now understand your reason for being here?

From what you said so far, it seems that you are still holding onto some of that 1%. The thing that will get you in the end. Believing there is someone "out there" that will save you. Certainly, you can call on Jesus as he's made himself available. But you can do the same with Buddha and a few others that have given up a little bit of eternity to provide us with the information to SAVE OURSELVES. Oh, if I could just get that one concept across to christians. Jesus came to give us the information to save ourselves. But, the majority of christians are lazy thinkers and they take that "savior" thing to be some knight in shining armor. All they have to do is go ask forgiveness and drink some wine and they got it made. Could you imagine how boring existence would be if that's all you needed to do to ascend. Just wait on some guy to come back and vanquish the evil.

But don't get me wrong. The thing that really matters is that you are seeking the truth beyond the bible. And you know what happens when you seek.

You are correct in saying we live in the matrix but you are wrong about Jesus and Satan and religion for that matter. Religion was created to make suckers like me and you believe that we werent in control of our lives and that we had to obey and follow the rules set with our desired faith or face severe consequences. The bible has been re-written so many times i doubt if half of what is in it is true.

i cant belive people hasnt realized yet that relgion is what killed jesus to start with. religous people are the ones who nailed him to the cross. religous people are the ones who couldnt comprehend what christ was talking about. they couldnt understand that he taught that he was not from this world. he tried to tell them where he was from and tried to explain why he could do the things he could, but satan was alive and well 2000 years ago and doing his job. come on people....religion is what killed jesus. of course relgion was created to confuse and divide! thats what jesus taught about. its one of the things he warned about. the bible has been re-written many times...but do you think that someone who can travel thru time is actually gonna let the most important message in the history of mankind just get snuffed out?? the bible has all the answers. it was written by an author who is not from this world. its more than just stories, its a book that has layers upon layers of information from the basics of how humankinds should live to the makeup of the universe....plus how to recognize the deception....how to escape it.......and the numberology breakdown is unreal.

the "matrix" sun is talking about is true. its not really like the movie...well kinda. the deception is in the mind. television is a major playa in this game.....ahh the big neon sign to keep them all distracted......entertainment. what a weapon. oh yeah, and religion.....very strong tool.
