As uuuussssssuuuuual everyone hears the word nuclear bomb and goes into a frenzy of debate over this magical word.

Lets talk about biological weapons instead which was mentioned in the speech. So this speech actually happened did it? Seems so according to other members here.

Anyway, the possibility of race specific weapons is very real. We don't even know how far china has gotten with this anyway.
Links all over google can be found on this topic.
www.wcc-coe.org...
Just one for an example.

So lets not rush into debate over nuclear bombs because true, it probably woudln't be to chinas advantage to use these.
If a race specific weapon could be made, it would be the most effective way.
Hard to trace origin. Before the US could figure out who to strike and where it came from, the damage would be done, and they would be already weakened due to the virus + their forces already being overseas in the middle east.
Then US retaliates with nuclear bombs. So what? Like Someone else mentioned, they coudln't kill nearly enough with even perfect strikes.
Okay their land is somewhat radioactive now.
So lets take america by force from the already weakened people and soldiers ( soldiers which would also be targetted by the virus ), with our huge army.

Just a daydream, no research done, flame away.

WyrdeOne, China even now cant grow enough food domestically to feed its people, you think after a full scale nuclear war has contaminated its agricultural and industrial sector they will be able to start indoor farms as if nothing happened?

China can't grow enough food to feed its people because China has sprouted Mega Cities and left a great deal of arrable land underpopulated. It certainly isn't wise, but it's what happened. They have the land for millions of sustainable micro-farms, which are the only viable sort after a major nuke exchange.

What about the majority of Chinas population that live in rural undeveloped areas? How are they going to filter the air, water, and food?

I think if you don't know this I shouldn't tell you. Survival of the fittest and all that. Read books.

( j/k - short answers are baffles, dirt, and stay away from the bone, respectively. If you want more detailed information, seriously, read books.)

Lets be realistic here

It's all I've ever wanted.

A few people will survive, yes, but not in any significant majority to make a difference, the country would be destroyed and in ruins.

Millions are a few? Hundreds of millions even? The US can't invade China, China can't invade the US. The US can't obliterate China's people with nukes, vice versa. What do two giants do when they realize the predicament they're in? They join up and crush little people for fun and profit.

Is it a coincidence that some Chinese peasant slaves away day after day making Nikes, so that an American peasant can slave away day after day to buy them?

C'mon...

I remember reading in an article written by former US army Col. Ralph Peters, that this speech was brushed off on the outside as the lunatic rantings of a senile old man, but inside the halkls of the Pentagon and amongst our allies it was taken very seriously.
True, unless you can find a way to attack a person with a biological agent that chooses its target based on the proportions of melanin in the skin and your pigmentation, then we're all screwed. But then again when that happens we'll have to call the Galactic Federation and have Captain Kirk come down and kick their little yellow asses.
Okay, seriously now, if this speech was real (and some within our own intelligence community beleive it was) consider that its the dying gasp of a fallen system. China is no longer Communist....they are now a Fascist state. Let me explain.
First Facism supports the idea of free markets. Free markets allow for greater competition which ensures that only the superior products survive, higher competition means a general raising in the technological standard which in turn raises the value of weaponry beign bartered for military contracts. And a wealthy people will put up with little civil liberties or even a total lack of them. (Rome, Nazi Germany)
Also, China is extremely urgent in its goal to expand its sphere of influence. Like all Fascist states tend to engender, there is a growing movement of Nationalism among the Chinese people. A beleif that they are the chosen ones of Asia and that it is their God given destiny to rule Asia and eventually the world.
China would love for nothing more than for the US to be knocked from its pedestal. BUT FOR NOW we are tolerated as an economic partner because for the moment we are beneficial to the Chinsese economy. But don't think for an instant that the Chinese wouldn't love to reverse the historical trends.
One fo the first steps of the Chinese military is to downsize and streamline. This doesn't mean that so many soldiers are going to go home, rather this means that soldiers who stirred pots and peeled spuds all day are now going to shoulder Norinco's and drive T-95's or fly the new strike fighters co-developed with Israel. (Okay maybe it's a stretch thinking that a potatoe peeler would become a fighter jock)
Also, the war would start out very small. It wouldn;t be a massive bloodletting but rather a strategic jockeying for position, a lethal chess game with the entire pacific region and possibly Central America, Africa and the Middle East beign the playing field.
The next logical step for the Chinese is to modernize, and they're doing that. After that comes a field test. I don't beleive it will be a Taiwan type scenario, rather possible an invasion of Vietnam to control the oil fields off the Nam coast or possibly a "Peacekeeping" mission to the Mid East.
China is no longer Communist, but we have in it's place is something far more deadly, and in the next ten years may be the next global superpower. Trust me, the two major powers will eventually clash...it's just a matter of time.
