Halloween Short Story Competition.

We are now into October and Halloween will be on us before we can scream Aaaggghhhhh!!!!

This seems like a good time to launch a Short Story Competition.

Most members will know that in the Collaberative Fiction Forum there is a Sub Forum for Short Stories.Newer members may wish to check it out.

If you think you can write a story that sets the hairs on the back of our necks on end or one that makes us want to check underneath our beds before we go to sleep and you wish to enter then simply post your short story up in the Short Story Forum and prefix your title with (HSSC) so that I know you wish it to be entered.
You can enter a story you've already written by editing your story title and inserting the prefix (HSSC).

All stories must be original.

I'm not going to stipulate word limit.Too long and you may lose readers along the way.The longest story won't necessarily win.It will be the best and unnerving story that will win.You can enter more than one story.

The winner will receive 10,000 ATS points.

Entries must be in before halloween.On Halloween I will announce the winner.

If anyone has any questions.Please feel free to ask them on this thread.

All Hallows Eve/Halloween is one of those things that citizens in some countries fight the invasion of, but crass commercialism and barn retail wins out...

Be prepared to be scared out of your pants.

Im down for this. I got a battlers' rap block anyway. It's the scariest story that wins, not the funniest or best written right?

I think I will write a horror story about someone who is locked in the ATS Chat Room for all eternity listening to ktprktpr's attempts at rap.

I missed out on doing much with that storyline in OIMD's Gilligan's Island thread of a few weeks ago.

Just don't kill me off too early, it doesn't suit my skin color if you were going to make a B-grade horror flick with all the inherent racism, from your story.

I want the readers bottom lip to start wobbling as he reaches the end of the story,I want him to double lock his doors ,and keep a light on all night.

Sounds cool.I'm working on putting on a halloween party that will feature a "seance",including manifesting phenomena,so this will go hand in hand with my project.
My big question is;No points for runner-ups,or special mentions? I'll submit a story regardless,just wondered.
