Hey guys, I know I dont post much but i have been reading this site for a few months. Since then, I tend to look up at the sky when ever i think about
it and this morning at about 5:45 i saw an abnormally large light up in the sky. I rubbed my eyes a few times (i had just woke up) to make sure that
what i was seeing was in fact what i saw. Im not sure what it was and I hope you help me figure it out. I have 27 photo's from my HP M417 digital
camera and 32 min of video from my sony trv350. I have the photos sent to my computer already but cannot figure out how to get the video sent. I would
like some help( figureing out what it is and attatching photos to this post and getting the video here as well), but please be patient I dont have a
whole lot of time on the computer.

here is some more. please note: the photos are zoomed in and the pictures are distorted due to shaking of the camera. the object was round and moved
very slow to the south as it got further away. the video shows it better. the last 3 are video from digital camera and i have 32 min from real video
camera.

Let me ask you this. Did the light move or do anything wierd ?
The reason being that Venus has been exceptionally bright the last few weeks.
It rises early in the morning.

It seemed as if it was moving left and right back and forth very slowly when watching with the naked eye. The video that i will work on today shows it
alot better. it seems to have a spinning motion but im not sure what type of effect the camera might add while zooming in. thanks for the reply.

thanks for the reply white rabit, Ibelieve the object was round with a flat bottom(video) the objects in the photo's is round but a trail is caused
from the movement of the camera is what you see.

Considered Ball Lighting? What were the weather conditions like? What would you say the distance between you and the object was? Was there any heat
coming from it? Were there any sounds that we couldn't hear on the video clips?
Edit: Grammar...I've just woke up

That is due to the Fact that the Human eye has trouble focusing in on small points of light like Stars and Planets.
Its highly likely that you were looking at Venus.
Don't feel too bad though , even I thought Venus was so brilliant last week I took a picture of it too just to see what it would look like.

I'm looking forward to seeing the video. As far as the pics go, it's hard to say whether the object is Venus or not. Being the pics were
taken early in the morning, it may well be Venus. Then again, keep looking skyward.

I was pretty far from it. At firt it seemed to be over Kennedy Space Center which is about 80 miles from house and it slowly went further south. it
took about 45 minutes for it to dissapear, about the same time the sun was comming up. My wife was up at 4:55 this morning and looked for the same
thing but nothing was out there. I will check tomorrow morning at the same time as the sighting to see if it could be venus. I was way to far away to
feel any heat.

Is it possible that Venus would not be here at 4:55 but would be at 5:45?
If so, it might be Venus. Still working on the video. Should I post the whole 32 minutes worth?

Yes. As a matter of fact. I don't know where you live , but Venus rose here where I am ( North Texas ) at 04:50 am this morning. According to
www.heavens-above.com... a really recommended site!
