France is saying that Iran's nuclear program is in no way for civillian use, and instead are saying it is a "clandestine military nuclear program."

PARIS — France's foreign minister said Thursday that Iran's nuclear program was a cover for clandestine military activity, in an unusually direct attack on Tehran for a European diplomat.

Iran's chief nuclear negotiator immediately dismissed the charge, insisting that Iran doesn't "want to have the bomb."

Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy's comments were likely to increase pressure on Iran amid the international dispute over its nuclear activities. Tehran says its nuclear program is peaceful but European and U.S. leaders fear it is aimed at building atomic weapons.

"No civilian nuclear program can explain the Iranian nuclear program. It is a clandestine military nuclear program," Douste-Blazy said on France-2 television. "The international community has sent a very firm message in telling the Iranians to return to reason and suspend all nuclear activity and the enrichment and conversion of uranium, but they aren't listening to us."

I'm glad that France is catching on to this. They seem to be really serious about this, more so than the Iraq deal, at least. I dont have much to say about that other than that Iran needs to disarm. Or else they will have France to deal with

Iraq was no threat, but Iran is a real threat; Not just to france but the whole western hemisphere. If and when they get Nukes, Israel will be taken out, of that you can be sure. Irans leader has all ready stated israel WILL be attacked, changing his words from should to will. Thats a mad man if there ever was one.

France needs to get tough beacuase if Israel goes, so will the entire Med basin because that will start nuclear conflict ie tit for tat exchange with israeli forces. Iran is a threat. iraq is a sham.
