I dont get it why would the goverment sposor such site?
How ever there is a point to it, the adds on the front page seems to be related.
And the trace to the ip is something but as long as the source can be trusted.
It's been on my mind for a while now that this site might be in fact part of the U.S goverment.
Think about it this way, why try to gather inteligence from google and why
try to go to all this trouble finding people when you can open a forum and have them all, so you get the whole so called conspiracy nuts and then you trow it in their face and haras them, they got your ip they got the logs

Or

They are just trying to see what opinions have others to work on a debunk mecanism or wants to see how much they have been exposed.

The trace route is disturbing to say the least, this is been long time on my mind.
Sometimes things move funny around here like a trap.

Why would someone go to such time and effort to rubbish the name of the site?

Seems a rather pointless exercise if there is nothing in it.

IMO it's plain old jealousy... Some of them attempt to hack the site. Other's try to slander it.

Alot of thinktank'ing going on here constantly, and in some areas, ATS could very well be another source for analysts.

Although it is hard to filter out all the nonsense, even nonsense can bring great ideas.

Imagine if the Government(s) needed to PAY all of us, for our thoughts. That would be a major post on anyones budget.

I sure do read these (some) pages, why shouldn't someone that gets paid for it do it too?

This is eerie.. I came across 'Sign of the times' last night and had a good read. They seemed to have a knack for.. spinning every ATS response as a dark and evil diversionary tactic. A mod at ATS understandably got pissed off at having his credibility attacked.. he bit back and they spun it as "See this is what those agents do." Thats like smacking someone in the mouth and then crying foul when their reflex is to do it back.

"See.. I always said you'd hit me.. even though I had to really provoke you into it till you had no choice.."

If ATSs response had've been more dipolmatic "See they're sucking up.. they must be hiding something." They couldn't win no matter how they responded.

Slandering ATS to discorage people from opening an account here in the hopes that they come to their site a buy their (two) books is low. When was the last time ATS slandered a competitor website? NEVER IN MY MEMORY. Also I think they violate our Creative Commons deed.
