If say, we are all wrong and there are no UFO's, and all the vid's are of balloons etc. (I know, stick with me here). Would it be in the government interest for us to keep believing? Would they have an advantage from a UFO 'cover' to hide behind? Are they making the cover? And thats why the truth is hidden from us? Though I doubt it myself, coz it would be common knowledge if there was a super-sized mothership out there.

But you never know. Just a thought.

There are a significant number of people who do subscribe to the notion that all UFO sightings are in fact generated by the military, with the purpose of distracting our attention from super secret black aircraft. I don't think it's impossible that the military have built advanced aircraft capable of space travel and anti gravity propulsion, but if the public are aware of this, we would be asking "Why are we still spending billions strapping guys to the back of a giant bomb to get into space?"
