When we check fish stocks or any other food animal we take a specimen. We weigh it. We take tissue samples. We band it and release it. Sound familiar. And just to make it even scarier how many people around the world vanish each year without trace. Harvest time!

I have always wondered this myself. I can picture an alien family watching some form of TV and laughing while they see us humans reacting to a UFO sighting.

I was just thinking about this today. It would be hard to believe that a spacefaring race can't figure out how to supply itself food. On the other hand, maybe we taste good enough for them to make the trip? As far as a sense of humor, that would seem to be in the same category as gourmand tastes. -Very human.

Well the hit sci fi show of the early 1980s advocated this. It was called V and was about an ailen invasion by lizards in human form. We then see the human resistance fight back and win the day (eventually). Quite a good mini series and theare was talk out there on the net of a remake. Wonder if that was an attempt at some form of disclosure?? I dont mind the ailens bit, but not so much the bit where we are going to be eaten/gobbled up !!!

It would be so much easier for aliens to just kill all the people off and eat cattle, like we do. Cattle and other ruminants are much more efficient at turning grass into meat. Human beings, on the other hand, require too much protein and fat to keep their brains running well. We also can't digest cellulose. We'd be a very inefficient and expensive food source.

Just a few numbers from Office of the Attorney General State of California* Dept. of Justice.
Missing Children Reports and Missing Adults Reports and the Status Reports. I chose 3 years 1995 2000 2004. I took the peport totals and deducted those accounted for.
1995 adults peported missing 37245 accounted for 35069 = 2176?
1995 Children 126519 118137 = 8382?
2000 adults 30688 27929 = 2759?
2000 children 88801 79418 = 9383?
2004 adults 40685 37809= 2876?
2004 children 117608 108398= 9250?
total 34826?
I hope my math is ok ! Check out the sight.

Of course you know those "missing children" reports are inflated with figures of kids who were taken by parents in the middle of a divorce, also with teen runaways.

If a kid really turns up missing, it makes the evening news. If they're cute and white and blond, sometimes the national news.

So you can get a rough idea how many are really missing, as in vanished. Probably not more than a couple dozen maybe.
