European diesels, we need them in the USA

i get 450 miles out of a 60 litre tank - all totoally urban lileage (no fast roads at all).

car is a peugeot 306TD

fast road mileage would be around 600 miles.

well i just saw where the mercedes E220 diesel gets an impressive 52mpg on the highway.

Unfortunately, due to environmental regulations, the diesel E220 is not available in all 50 states.


this should make every driver in the us boiling made. screw the environmental wacko's

you'll put less in the air if you go farther with the same ammount of fuel.

that being said VW diesel's that cant be sold in the usa get up to 61mpg on the highway.

who wants to be the first to smack an enviromental wacko upside the head after me? 'cause i'll do it
