Taiwanese scientists have bred a type of pig that glows green when exposed to a light of specific frequency.
While not a world first, they are more flourescent than other pigs which have preceeded them.
The purpose of this strain of pig is to study the effects of human disease on the altered proteins. Rather than having to stain with a radioactive
element, the changed genome of these pigs allows scientists to study disease in a more convenient way.
