Yes, the European Commission is appointed by national governments, not elected by nations.

Yes and how do those national goverments com into existance....?

Yes, the Committee of Permament Representatives is appointed by national governments, not elected by nations.

Yes and again who elects those governments, by anychance is it the people IN those countries?

Running Great Britain should be the exclusive task of the British national government.

And how is it not doing so?

Pull out of the EU an watch as dozens of multi nationals pull out, the free trade system means that companies only have to have one major outpost in Europe to trade with the rest, makes life a hell of a lot simpler.

EU memberships provides jobs which contributes to the wealth of the UK far more that a seven billion price tag. A good chunk of that money goes toward developing economies in Eastern Europe and other deprived areas to give us more trading partners and making everyone richer.

Cant see Airbus continuing to make wings in Wales if they have to import the damn things...

Prove these figures. Britain is the 8th richest according to CIA world fact book link and 5th militarily link -- although these figures are 2001 values I don't think thing have changed that much.

Britain should stay in the EU, we are a bridge between Europe and America, and make a lot of money from it.

No, they are from 2005. I'll quote the CIA World Factbook:

8 Great Britain $ 1,869,000,000,000 2005 est.

This is not true. No one in Europe consults their actions toward America with Great Britain.

- 100% correct UJ.

EU membership has given Britain access to the worlds largest single market (one that has now grown to over 450millions).

Those who complain about British membership of the EU really ought to do a little reading about the reasons for the sheer desperation Britain had in joining the EEC (as it then was) and the previous failures of the 'trade only' EFTA group and the failure of Britain's commonwealth to sustain British trade.

Quite how deliberately choosing to move from a situation where we enjoy the most favourable trading circumstances with our largest trading partners to one of much worse trading circumstances is meant to benefit us all, God alone knows.

Thankfully the British people show absolutely no sign of wishing to elect a government that would seriously try and leave the EU.

- This brings us back to the foundation-stone of the EU.
European peace (a rare thing in Europe's history).

An allied, developed and cooperative Europe is a proven means of ensuring we all get to live in peace and with a minimum of 'tension' between the sovereign nation states comprising the EU.

Are there any notable parties that are campaigning with an EU pullout?

- No.

Even the tory party has pulled back from their most extreme position on this (which, when it came down to it, was not actually about leaving anyway).

I suppose one should mention UKIP but they are tiny (they got a few MEPs in the last EU Parliamentary elections thanks to those elections being held under a PR system but since election they seem to have disappeared and be content to make fools of themselves in Europe with embarrassingly stupid or offensive behaviour).

Not "a few MEPs", they have won 12 seats in the European Parliament. And no, they don't make fools out of themselves, they are representing the real peoples of Europe while the EU is conspiring against the Europeans.
