the first one hasnt came yet, but I'm ready to do something I have never done.
predict a storm 8 days away... so you guys need to work to keep this thread open!!!!
A little clipper system coming out of canada will plunge south next thursday- friday.... the storm will draw lage amounts of moisture from the gulf, then head north... central ohio, eastern ohio, all of pa, and the east coast will be effected...
I'm not going to give any amouts yet.... but I will say ohio and PA will be hit the hardest.
the latest model really show this storm intensifying as it moves north....
You heard it here first....

this is still 8 days away, and alot can change before then

Not to snow on your parade or steal your thunder but others have been predicting more to come since this morning.

You have to get up earlier to beat their predictions or you will be riding the tail end of all their storms.

Okay gonna give some estimates as to what you can expect next weekend.
This will be a major storm even bigger than this weekends, in terms of the area this storm will cover, but this time the heay snow will fall west of the appalachians as well. It will not be out of the question to see a possible blizzard in spots on the east coast again next weekend.
Now I understand I was a little off on my last forecast, so that Is why i'm going to start right away with this storm that way by the time thursday arrives I will have already given you what you should need. I called the blizzard and for the most part my storm totals will be pretty accurate, all but for Ohio I had hoped the storm would stay further inland, but it didnt.... so heres some of what you can expect next weekend.

Indianapolis, In 1 - 3"

Columbus, Oh 4 - 8"

Cleveland, Oh 6 - 12"

Pittsburgh, Pa 4 - 8"

State College, Pa 6- 12"

Philadelphia, Pa 4 - 8"

Wheeling, Wv 4 - 6"

Buffalo, Ny 6 - 12"

New York, Ny 4 - 8"

Boston, Ma 6 - 12"

There are a few places guys. I am going to make a map of what you can look for as well.
If you have any big cities near you that you want me to give you a range on let me know I will add it on here.... will have that map up asap.

Hey, welcome to ATS, but I think you might have missed something. It doesn't work that way. If you want to start a thread, others will respond, and as long as they stay within the boundaries of T&C anyone can and will.

Again it's called reading comprehension.

This air mass may set the stage for one of the coldest second halves of February in quite some time. The extremes created by cold air invading from the north and mild air to the south will provide plenty of reason for more winter storms.

Wow! Who would have thought?

Well, considering Lordsofchaos that you have been right on about the storms the past two weekends, I'm sure you'll be right about next weekend.
I live in the very NE corner of Tennessee, an hour east of Knoxville. What do you see for our area? I'm thinking more snow...?

THank you,
-Forestlady

Well, lordsofchaos, I look forward to seeing how this one turns out. What do you see for the KC metro area? It is so unpredictable here the meteorologists, even say they have no idea. HA wish I could have that job. Get paid for saying I dont know what the weather is going to do. Anyway, I look forward to hearing what you think for my area.

(by the way, Loc, dont get discouraged by certin individuals who poop on all the good threads making it more than miserable for everyone, just do as I do and put them on the ignore list and help the others who most likely have them on their list by not quoting them in your post. )
