Just started watching Horizon and it sparked off a thought that I have had before after reading some Michio Kaku stuff....
Over 90% of universe is made of stuff that we dont know of...dark matter. That means that the sceptics of the paranormal have a science based on the
knowledge of about 10% of universe.
It seems to me that if science can't explain 90% of the universe how can it be used to prove or disprove the paranormal?

One of the main problems of "scientific paranormal research" is that you cannot scientifically examine something that defies current scientific
thinking.
To set up scientific experiments you have to take a theory to a hypothesis, then to multiple controlled experimentation, and with the kind of
phenomena that I have personally experienced, it defies such testingas it manifests in different ways on each occasion.
Therefore "lab-style" experiments as suggested by Mr Randi and co, are never likely to produce any significant results.
I think it was Arthur C Clarke who once said "the universe is not only stranger than we imagine, it is in fact stranger than we CAN
imagine".
