I don't know why A2S Standard missile has retired but S2A Standard missile still be in sevice.
I don't know which aircrafts in pass time could and has carried Standard missile, Why so few picture of showing aircraft carried Standard missile was remained.
If there are some picture of what I mentioned above you had, would you mind post here to me?

you mean the US Standard ARM? -(Standard as in flag, an adaption of a naval SAM system (still used) as a 'heavy' anti-radiation missile to compliment the light Shrike - both replaced by the 'medium' HARM.

According to FAS "About 700 were built when production ceased in 1978" - so it way out of date now. www.fas.org...
