NME Tour '06

Has anyone else managed to see the tour this year?
For those not in the UK, or unaware of it (the tour not the country!), the music magazine NME puts on a tour every year featuring 4 of the hottest new indie bands. This years line up is:

Maximo Park
Arctic Monkeys
We Are Scientists
Mystery Jets

The tour seems to get more and more popular each year, and this year with the Arctic Mokeys exploding onto the chart scene, tickets for this years tour have been like gold dust - going for silly money on ebay.

I had a ticket for Christmas and went to the Birmingham leg of the tour last night. I wont post a detailed review, but suffice to say it was an absolutely phenominal gig, and will definitely be remembered forever! The Arctic Mokeys are receiving all the hype - and were excellent last night, but I think that Maximo Park were the best band on the night, they were brilliant; I can whole heartetly recommend you check them out.


So, has anyone else been on the tour, or got anything to say about the featured bands? I'd be interested to read what people thnk of the tour/the bands
