The following link is to a story broken this week by Greg Palast, author of Armed Madhouse (copyright 2006 by Dutton Publishing) and other recent
works of investigative reporting:

In an August 28, 2006 interview with independent reporter Amy Goodman, investigative reporter Greg Palast gives the name of a U.S. company paid by
the Bush Administration (pre-Katrina) to develop an evacuation plan for New Orleans, except that no one can now find a copy of any such plan.
What I don't understand is the total silence by the mainstream media and government officials on this Palast story since this genuine investigative
breakthrough was aired this week on the Democracy Now! cable tv and FM radio show hosted by veteran independent reporter Amy Goodman. This show was
part of her observance of the one-year anniversary of the 2005 Hurricane Katrina disaster on the Gulf Coast.
