As we all know Turkey is in the process of gaining membership into the European Union. Most of the NATO member states are already part of the EU.

Turkey has a military alliane through NATO, it is only natural that they would want the economical and diplomatic benefits of being a EU member as well. I am wondering if perhaps the U.S. would help Turkey achieve this goal if they were to join or assist them in an attack against Iran?

How would that affect their relations?

Turkey have experienced at first hand attrocities of terror like the rest of us.

Their stand on terror is steadfast.

I am not sure they would join any war efforts simply to gain membership to the EEC .

They dont need to pacify Europe with that decision short of a couple of members who are not in agreement to them joining, they already satisfy most of the criteria for joining.

Maybe they will allow forces to use their airspace but personally I would not expect them do offer any military support.
