Do you intend to attack one of America's nuclear labs? I wouldn't do that.

LIVERMORE, California (AP) -- Officials at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory have added a new weapon to their armory: a high-powered machine gun that can fire more than 50 rounds per second.

The weapon, unveiled Thursday, is a six-barrel Gatling gun called the Dillon Aero M134D. An undisclosed number of the guns will be mounted on vehicles and elsewhere at the lab.

"What we want to do is equip our protective force with the capability that will leave no doubt about the outcome," said Linton Brooks, head of the National Nuclear Security Administration.

Talk about soooo much firepower. Think its a little too much? But then what is too much?

Man thats some impressive firepower
Nothing like 6 thousand rounds a minute to ruin your day.

I onced watched a show on the Seruity of these places its insane. They even have weight sensors before you enter to tell if somebody eles is in the room. So you couldnt force someone to let you in at gun point. Thumb prints among other things are needed and dont try cutting off a scientist finger to get in they can tell the difference if a Thumb is drained of blood and will not let you in.

They also said SF teams like the SEALS test the security and try to break in every once in awhile to find any loop holes that might be in security.

Not only serious firepower, but serious training, and no sense of humour whatsoever. These guys are absolutly the best of the best, no rent-a-cop need apply.

Ummm...no offense to any rent-a-cops out there.

Is that a little gun on top of the big gun?
