New ATS Policy For Very-Large Threads (Serpo!)

I'm trying to take a whack at the index...I've been reading the Serpo thread since the beginning and it's been very interesting the whole way through. I U2U'd Springer with the first 25 pages I did, but I'm going to change tactic some...I think I was thinking of "table of contents" instead of 'index'. In any case, I'm up to page 98 of the thread and still going! I promised myself to stop at 25 but I just can't stop; I'm having too much fun doing it! I don't know how it will turn out, maybe it will be crummy, but I'm still going to finish it, if even for myself.

I think that his would mainly apply to ATS and PTS rather than the "3 word story" type posts on BTS.

I definetly think that some way of letting people know which posts are "big threads" is important. I have listed a few ideas on how this could be achieved.

1) A sticky at the top listing the big threads (in order of most recent to oldest) with a quick message saying if they are locked or not. With a link to this thread.

2)Prefixing the topic with BigT (but without changing the actual topic (as seen here (ogame forums)

3)Some kind of colour highlight/change of the thread topic

4)Add the words "big thread" to the first post in such threads.

1 and 3 seem like the easiest to implement.

Well done Amegos, this should hopefully clear up the mess.

Is this thread going to be put up on the banner? Otherwise people might not get to see it and end up loseing points.

Well, It was a mass U2U. Hopefully someone saw it.

Does the big-threads policy apply to BTS as well, especially the Rant forum?
