I have a windows media player clip that I want to pause and take an image of and print several times.

I tried taking a screen shot of the media file after pausing it and just got a black screen?

I need something that is free and can take a screen shot that can be printed and no it's not pron it's martial arts clip that I want to break down into individual movements.

Any suggestions?

Try to use mediaplayer which can create screenshots by itself, go to bsplayer.org... for example and download the player.

A while ago I was seeking the same thing. I finally got what I needed after a lot of help and a lot of searching.

DVD screenshots
The avatar I'm using now I had actually made from a screenshot.

If you need extra help with that feel free to send me an email.

If you're using windows media player, you can just disable hardware acceleration and use the regular printscreen key then paste into paint. This way, you can avoid downloading and figuring out how to use extra programs, but unfortuneately without hardware acceleration there is extra strain on your CPU which doesn't matter if you remember to turn hardware acceleration back on when you're done.
