An ABC poll taken claims 69% of the American people think an Independent Counsel should be called to investigate who outted former Ambassador Joseph
Wilson's wife as a CIA agent.
This morning I was wondering what catastrophe would happen next to pull America's attention away from from this situation. Then lo and behold, Good
Morning America reported on military action in Afghanistan. Osama Bin Laden was thought to be close by, they claimed. Ah ha! Could that be it? Trot
out Osama? The sheeple would forget about the Rove/Wilson fiasco immediately.
And then, there's the missing Boeing..

The American people are finally waking up, and this administration's "wiggle room" is getting to be virtually nil.
Read my thread about the number of wounded coming out of Iraq.

That's not what I meant. I was talking about a complete collapse of the current government infrastructure...J/K...LOL!
But seriously, I'd take a democrat instead, from the simple standpoint that they're always better at managing domestic things, which is what we need
to concentrate on right now. Another thing I'd like to happen, is I'd like us to stop turning into rome....one of these days, our leader is going to
be named emperor or some #. Its the same thing as what happpened in the roman empire. we're headed toward the sharp decline
in....welll.....everything. The only way to stop it is to stop it now, not to wait for later. Support alternate political parties. I'm not saying go
join the socialist party, but you definitely want to support something that would solve our current problems. Our economy is like that of the late
19teens, living off borrowed money, and skating along, barely. It's only a matter of time before it rolls on us again. Just something to think about.
Peace.

Man, four more years of this shyte and our nation is DOOMED. We cannot afford what is happening. We are being raped financially and that money is
going toward further enriching the controllers and putting a death grip on the rest of the world. Their aim? Complete hegemony. If they had any
concept of history, they might realize, their days are numbered. Unfortunately, that means the USA as well.
I've always voted Republican. There's no way in hell I'll vote that way this time. Howard Dean is the best shot we have b/c he is an outsider.
Don't listen to the media spin about him. He is not nearly as liberal as they make him out to be. And we NEED someone who will get our fiscal house
in order.

ECK,
difficult to disagree with anything you have said here or Loki too for that matter.
But consider this before I be accused of being an appologist for the current control system (which I am not by the way), there are two kinds of things
that can happen to somebody.
The first kind are less important and possibly they can be avoided or changed by us with effort of some degree.
The second kind we cannot do anything about it, because it is simply too big for us to deal with.
Now I will shock you but I can put all the events of the world that are occuring right now into catagory one.
But what if things are going to happen soon that fit into catagory two? What if they negate much of what happens in example one?

Let me get back to the original idea for this thread. I was trying to say, what kind of tradgedy, foreign policy disaster, terror event, or whatever
will take place to distract us from the prospect of Bush's house of cards collapsing under the weight of all this scandal? If our lawmakers in
Washington had an ounce of integrity, they would draw up impeachment charges against Bush et.al.

Since when has any administration within the past 50 years (at least) had even so much as a *microgram* of integrity?
It's no longer a question of politics in this country anymore...We're well on the way to becoming the Incorporated States of America.

well, it was afterall Wilson who played politics first. He went to Nigeria and did nothing - he didn't investigate. He's as partisan as they come
and this is great ammo for the typical Bush hater BUT remember the UK, and their 1st class intel agencies, still stand by their claim about urnanium
in Nigeria. It's politics, nothing more. Wilson's wife WAS probably outed, imho. HOWEVER, let's not forget that Wilson was sent to investigate a
very serious matter (nukes) and meandered around Nigeria for a few days visiting old chums, doing nothing! BUT, no one is investigating his
actions....

I suppose you were right there with Wilson, Bob88?
Wilson's info is solid. Anyone in the know knew this by February. End of subject.

Yeah, that statement makes sense when you look at the source...After all, if you're Russian, then *anything* that screws up America would look good
to you...

Yeah, this sounds about right...Especially when you consider that during the time Ted Kennedy was a Senator (some years ago), that the Administration
decided to send him (A grossly overweight slob) to Ethiopia to look at the "hunger problem"...WTF?!

THE ANSWER TO THE QUESTION!
BushCo. have turned their guns on the media! That's right - the compliant, imbeded, wonderful media who helped fool the American into the Iraq war
are now the scapegoats for the administration's FAILED Iraq policy! How brilliant! Destroy the messenger WHEN NOTHING ELSE WORKS! This
administration continues to prove they would eat their own young to forward its agenda.
