I don't stay current with all of blogging's terminology, and I'm not sure exactly what "image-linking" means.

Is it possible for us to post images? If so, can we use any of the many image-hosting sites available for this purpose?

I've checked the FAQ and searched for answers to this question, but I figure the best way to get the most up-to-date response is to go straight to the horse's ass.. I mean "mouth".

I am not a mod, but I think I can answer your question.

It is fine to post your own images using an image hosting site. It is not fine to "hot link" an image from another site. Hot linking is creating a direct link to someone else"s image, without their permission; which uses their bandwidth instead of your own - or bandwidth provided by an image hosting site.

So if you use an image hosting site, you have permission by the site to use their bandwidth. If you hotlink, you are stealing.

Got it?
